Our programme

The preschool have documented long term objectives (displayed in the playroom) which cover all developmental areas.

The preschool have a daily curriculum which is child centred and based on the needs of individual children's strenghts and interests. 

The daily programme provides a balance of activities.

  • Child initiated play

  • Adult initiated play

The emphasis of our day is on learning as an interactive process, where the environment we create encourages active participation with "hands-on" experiences for the children.

Children are given a range of activity choices throughout the day. All activities and materials are developmentally appropriate.

The programme is:

  • Flexible, allowing for the changing needs and interests of the children

  • Provides for integration of special needs children

  • Reflects cultural and linguistic diversity

  • Anti biased

  • Evaluation of our programme is carried out daily by the staff.
